What you will find below was originally stored on the Server at my school, Polytechnic School in Pasadena, California. It is, at a minimum, the two-volume physics text I wrote some years ago for my C-level AP Physics class. Click on one of the links and a page will be downloaded to your download folder. Open the page and you will find a second page with a somewhat unorthodox format. Don't let it bother you. Just click on the chapter(s) you are interested in and enjoy.

One other thing: I wrote this book for my students because they complained rather vociferously that the text I'd so lovingly chosen for them at the time was not helpful. My intent was never to make money on the book. Having said that, assuming I am still alive, I'd be happy to make up two-volume copies of the book for anyone who would like hard-bound versions for themselves or their students. I am equally happy to have teachers download the book from this page, then make up softbound versions of the book for their students, or direct their students to this page so they might download the book on their own. In short, I am more or less waiving my copyright rights as long as the teachers and/or students and/or anyone interested are not producing the book for profit.

Two or three years after I finished Physics With Calculus, it dawned on me that although I obviously did allude to the conceptual side of the physics in presenting the mathematical models, I didn't do a very good job of showing up all the far-reaching consequences of the conceptual side. To remedy this, I wrote what I called the Conceptual Manual--250 pages (more or less) of purely conceptual problems, complete with solutions. For those who are interested, that manual is found below.

Lastly, for the moment anyway, I always enjoy hobnobbing with my fellow physics wizards. If you want to get in touch with me, my email addresses are:
